This exciting sport is a combination of soccer, basketball and hockey.  The sport is played with a small, hard ball and stick called the crosse. The crosse has a basket-like scoop on one end used to catch and throw the ball.

The sport requires the physical and performance qualities of most other sports combined. Lacrosse athletes must possess size, strength, power, speed, agility and endurance.  Players are almost constantly moving as they attempt to maneuver the ball into the goal.

I focus on building the muscles for moving the crosse side to side and back and forth.  I also work on improving your posture to keep the body balanced.  This makes the stick easier to carry and leaves you to focus on the point of attack.  Building speed and explosive power are also major goals in Lacrosse training.
